Patterned Paper: Doodlebug Designs, Stamps: Hero Arts Scalloped Oval: Spellbinders, Hearts: Cricut, Sweetheart |
Hi everyone! I wanted to share some Valentine's Cards I made for the Card Cupids Valentine Card drive. I learned about Stephanie, the organization's founder, while looking through Two Peas' message boards. Card Cupids donates birthday cards and care packages to children in hospitals and homeless shelters on an ongoing basis in Northern Virginia. This cause is something that hits home for me. In my youth, my family and church family came to visit me during an extended hospital stay. It really brightened my day to receive all the flowers, cards, and even a couple of stuff animals from them. It made my health challenges easier to bear. So I hope I can do that for someone else.
I kept the details for these cards simple, to adhere to Stephanie's guidelines for card submissions. The paper is some I had in my stash, and the stamps came from the Hero Arts valentine sayings stamp set. The cards came together pretty quickly, so I hope to make more before I send them off! If you'd like to submit Valentine cards to this cause, the deadline is Sunday, February 5th. However, they take birthday cards year-round. Visit the website for more info!
Well, that's all I have this go-round, but come back to see me soon!
