Awareness is Empowering

Happy weekend everyone! So glad its Friday! I wasn't rushing my week away, but lets just say I was highly anticipating it, lol. I have two cards to share today, but before I get started, I wanted to thank all of you who sent well-wishes for my grandmother! She's very dear to my heart, so your words of encouragement mean a great deal to me!!

As most of you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. However, it is also Domestic Awareness Month. I didn't know that myself until recently, but it is a serious issue that really needs more attention on the local, state, and national levels too. The awareness color is purple, so I get to use my favorite color for a great cause. Here's a closer look at each card:

Dies: Spellbinders, Stamps: Stampendous, SP&Company
Copics: RV 23,25
The BCA card was made with more of the paper from the Me and My Big Ideas paper pack, then I stamped and colored the ribbon with copics. The pinks I used weren't an exact match, but I think it turned out okay.

Paper: Creative Memories, Die: Spellbinders, Ribbon: Cricut, Stand and Salute
Stamp: SP&Company, Glitter: Martha Stewart
The ribbon on the purple card was cut on my Cricut then covered with glitter. The sentiments on both cards are part of the SP and company Awareness is Empowering stamp set. I really like that it can be used for all kind of awareness projects, and that a portion of proceeds from each set sold goes to cancer research! I thought it was so great, that I purchased a second set to give away to one reader who leaves a comment on this post!! But you gotta be in it to win it, so leave a comment! I will post the winner next Tuesday, so come back to see if you won! Until then, have a great weekend...And That's All She Wrote!

  2. Both of your cards are beautiful. As a BC survivor I'm blessed and keep my prayers for those who are suffering. Thanks so much.
