A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts. ~Washington Irving
There are a lot of big and little things I love about my mother...she has a kind and giving spirit. I have seen her make a whole meal to take to someone coming home from the hospital. She makes it a point to visit and support a family that has lost a loved one. She's a mean Bookworm player, makes the best homemade biscuits, someone who taught me how to pray and have faith when times get hard. I love her smile and bright expression as she says, "Ain't that cute?" She has sacrificed so much, working all kinds of hours so my brother and I had what we needed, and some of what we wanted. Whether I become a mom or not, she has shown me everyday how to love, even when people aren't loving in return or regardless if others acknowledge it or not. I just hope that I can pass along the lessons, the encouragement, and the love she has given me.
Thanks Mom! I love you with all of my heart!
Love, Me.
Happy Mother's Day to all of you! Before you go, I hope you will share some of the big and little things that you love/loved about your mother, grandmother, or someone who has had a motherly influence in your life...That's all I have today, thanks for dropping by, and That's All She Wrote!
