I'm a little sad to hear about the passing of this Rap Icon! Before there was Notorious B.I.G, Rick Ross, or the other big guys of rap, there was Heavy D...He was a class act! There wasn't a lot of expletives or cursing in his music like you find nowadays. His lyrics and a funky beat were all he needed. Heavy, you were there to help a shy teen in the late 80's and 90's have a little fun, even if it was dancing at home in her room. And when I did go to the school dances, a Heavy D song was all it took to get me out on the dance floor and out of my shell. Thank you for your legacy of music and the wonderful memories! Rest in peace...
