Altered Dominoes

Recently I had the chance to participate in an Altered Domino swap with a new group I found on Facebook. I was really nervous about it because this was my first swap with them, and I've never done dominoes before. However, my creative goal this year was to try new things. I really have to push myself with that sometimes because I have this creative fear of messing something up--like many crafters deal with from time to time. I know just trying something is the only way to learn, but I still struggle with it...

But enough about me, aren't these dominoes great? These ladies fit so much onto such a small surface! I think the one on the far left is a wooden domino because it feels lighter than the others. The one in the top center has micro-beading around the edge! They have given me so many ideas to try on my next ones...yep, I've said it now, smh. I do want to share my dominoes from the swap:

Stamps: Hero Arts
Please forgive the lighting on this pic. I took it in my bathroom, thinking that it would come out clearer than this. My alcohol inks were all in shades of brown, then I stamped the dominoes with small leaves from this set. I wanted to get some wording on here, but I didn't have word stamps with a small enough font. I think the surface has that marbled appearance though. I will try it with very different colors next time...there's those words again, lol. So now I'd like to hear from you: Have you tried altered dominoes before? Do you have any advice or suggestions on what you'd like to see in a future project of altered dominoes here?

Well, I'm signing off now...its been a long day, and a chick is tired.
However, thank you so much for stopping by! Take care,
