Halloween 2013 Wrap-Up

Hi readers!! How was your Halloween? Well, you can tell from the picture that ours was slow. We only got two trick-or-treaters this year. Yea, I know...its not that serious. I just thought we would've got a few more. But since my hubby and I don't have any kids around, we really like having the little ones coming to the door in their cute little costumes. Now I think I better take some of this candy to the kids at church to keep us from binging on all this sweetness! #intervention

But wearing my costume to work was fun! Talk about nervous and excited at the same time! So here it is:

I was "Cheryl the Mouseketeer"!!

I grew up watching reruns of the original Mickey Mouse show. (Yep, the black and white version) My favorite mouseketeer was Annette, but I always thought it was too cool that there was a Cheryl too! As for the costume, it was simple, fun, and affordable to put together! All it took was adding iron-on letters to a shirt I got at Michaels on with a coupon, and adding a pink bow to some Mickey ears I found in the kids section at the party supply store.

Hubby calls this one "Minnie's Gone Gansta," lol

Unfortunately, my costume didn't go over well with everyone:

I didn't lose my head, but it was a close call with my friend/coworker Camilla!

So all in all, Halloween 2013 was fun and I hope yours was too!
